A UN vehicle passing north of Khan Younis showed the wide scale destruction in the city caused by Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip. The roads were lined with piles of rubble and buildings had parts blown away or were charred by fires. Polio vaccinations are due to begin in Rafah and Khan Younis on Thursday where healthcare workers aim to vaccinate more than 200,000 children under the age of 10
