A residential building in Gaza City was destroyed by an Israeli airstrike on Sunday, after residents were given evacuation orders shortly beforehand.
People who lived in the building said they had nowhere else to go as fares to travel south of the besieged territory were unaffordable.

One displaced man said: ‘We went south and came back from the south, because there’s no space there either. Now we’re just sitting here under God’s mercy.’
