[VIDEO] Gaza: 284 UNRWA staff members killed so far

Five UNRWA members have been killed in the past few days, bringing the death toll of the agency workers to 284 Since October 7 2023. UNRWA said that Gaza has become one of the most dangerous places for humanitarian workers, having the highest death toll number among humanitarians in the world.

With Israel ending the two-month ceasefire and resuming the bombing of Gaza, The Palestinian death toll has climbed to 49,617, with 112,950 others injured.

At least 710 were killed and 900 others injured in the last four days alone. The Israeli military said it had launched a “targeted ground operation” in central and southern Gaza, aiming to create a buffer zone between the northern and southern parts of the Palestinian enclave.

In early March, Israel blocked the entry of goods into the territory in a standoff over a truce that has halted fighting for the past seven weeks. The move has led to a hike in prices of essential foods as well as of fuel, forcing the Gaza strip into another humanitarian crisis
