Below is a list, in reverse chronological order, of Israelis and Palestinians killed by someone from the other side since the Second Intifada began in 2000.*
This website records each person killed, and aims to remind us all that every single death is the end of a life, devastating and terrifying to parents, children, siblings, friends, neighbors, witnesses and even entire communities. A neighbor or friend murdered is a loss that doesn’t go away.
* Both lists contain a small number of people of other nationalities who were killed by violence from one side or the other: For example, the Israeli list includes foreign workers and Palestinians living in “unrecognized villages” in Israel who died in Palestinian rocket attacks, etcetera; while the Palestinian list includes non-Palestinians in the West Bank/Gaza who were killed by Israeli forces, such as UN officials and peace activists, etc. Such individuals are noted by an asterisk that links to this statement.
The lists do not include individuals who have died indirectly from the conflict. These deaths can be seen under “Additional Deaths.”
Please note: There is a time delay in reporting deaths because we first confirm all the details of the incident.
