A local Fatah official in Nablus has described Israel’s killing of three Palestinians in the city in broad daylight yesterday as a turning point in the conflict.
“The situation before the assassination and after it will not be the same,” Muhammad Hamdan told Al-Mayadeen TV. “We are going to expand the confrontation in all fields in response to the Israeli occupation and its settlers’ attacks.”
The official pointed out that Israel’s occupation and illegal settlers want to drag the Palestinians into a bloody quagmire. “We in Fatah and all the Palestinian factions threaten the [Israeli] occupation with a response to its crime today. We will not stand idle.”
On Tuesday afternoon, Israeli Special Forces killed three Palestinian men from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Nablus city. They were named as Adham Mabrouk, Muhammad al-Dakhil and Ashraf Mabslat.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades are the armed wing of Fatah, the faction which controls the Palestinian Authority. The PA is engaged in security coordination with the Israelis.
