Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour, 27, was shot in the abdomen during a raid by the Israeli army, the Palestinian health ministry says.
Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian man and wounded several others on Thursday in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour, 27, was hit in the abdomen during a raid by the Israeli army in the city of Halhul in the south of Hebron Governorate, the ministry said in a statement.
Israeli soldiers stormed the city in large numbers, blocked the main road, and raided a money exchange store.
City residents confronted the soldiers who fired live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets.
At least five people were wounded, including three hit by live bullets, the health ministry said.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army.
Abu Ayhour is the 66th Palestinian killed by Israeli fire in the West Bank and Israel this year.
Last week, four Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces across the West Bank in the span of just 24 hours, including a child and a journalist.
