Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, laid out his plan for Gaza in a press conference on Sunday.

He said Israel had 70-75% of Gaza under military control but that two Hamas ‘strongholds’ remained: Gaza City and the ‘central camps and Mawasi’.
Dismantling those strongholds ‘is the best way to end the war and the best way to end it speedily’, he said.
