Israeli occupation forces yesterday announced their intention to seize and demolish two homes in the occupied West Bank cities of Qalqilya and Salfit. This decision is part of the Israeli authorities’ policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.
A statement from the Israeli military confirmed the demolition orders include the apartment of the family of martyr Jamal Abu Haniya in Qalqilya. Abu Haniya is accused by Israeli authorities of carrying out an operation in June that resulted in the death of a Jweish settler in the Palestinian city.
Additionally, the Israeli military stated that on Tuesday, an order was issued to seize and demolish an apartment in Salfit belonging to the family of martyr Ammar Ouda. Ouda is accused of conducting an operation in Holon, near Tel Aviv, on 4 August.
The statement noted that the decision regarding Ouda’s family home was made following the rejection of a legal objection filed against the seizure and demolition order.
