Protected by Israeli occupation forces, on Friday thousands of illegal Israeli settlers raided the villages of Laqba and Al Burj in the north of the Jordan ValleyAl Watan Voice reported.

Activist Aref Daraghmeh revealed that hundreds of Israeli buses transported around 4,000 illegal settlers, who raided the villages remaining for four hours.

He disclosed that the illegal settlers raided the two villages under full military protection of the Israeli occupation army.

Daraghmeh confirmed that this is the first time that a very large number of Israeli settlers raided the area.

He also stated that the Israeli occupation forces closed the military point, Tayasir, between the West Bank city of Tubas and the north of the Jordan Valley.

Regarding the reason behind the raid, Daraghmeh explained that the Israeli occupation is inciting settlers to steal more Palestinian land in order to encourage the Israeli government to annex them.

To undermine this plan, Daraghmeh called for the Palestinians to increase their existence in the targeted area.
