Israel seizes agricultural equipment in Jordan Valley

Israeli occupation forces today stormed the Palestinian hamlet of Khirbet Humsa al-Fawqa in the northern Jordan Valley and seized agricultural equipment and tents, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

According to local sources, a large number of troops stormed the hamlet and seized equipment and tents used for livestock farming. They loaded everything onto a truck before they left the area.

The seized equipment and tents belonged to several local residents from the family of Abul-Kibash.

Occupation forces also confiscated residents’ mobile phones.

The Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea make up almost 30 per cent of the occupied West Bank. Almost 90 per cent of this region has been designated Area C, the West Bank land which remains under full Israeli military and civilian control.

Last year Israel planned to annex the area in a move that was later postponed by then-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
